Lord Balaji, also known as Venkateshwara, derives his name from "Venkata," the name of a mountain in Andhra Pradesh, and "Ishwara," meaning Lord. Balaji is renowned for his immense wealth, with his devotees contributing substantial amounts to the Tirumala Tirupati Temple.

According to various Puranas, Lord Balaji is an incarnation of Vishnu. This wooden sculpture of Lord Balaji, carved in a standing pose, features the "Panchajanya," the Sanskrit term for "Conch," known as "Shankha" in Tamil. Mahavishnu holds this conch, whose sound is believed to dispel negativity, impart positive vibrations, and enhance focus and performance. Additionally, the sculpture includes the powerful "Sudharsana Chakra," a wheel-shaped weapon of Mahavishnu. "Su" signifies good or divine, while "dharsana" means vision, representing the right intent of the soul and its fulfillment. This chakra is said to destroy many of Vishnu’s strongest enemies.

The decorative sculpture is intricately designed with a stunning pillar, base, and arch. The base is adorned with a carving of Shri Mahalakshmi, Balaji’s consort, featuring detailed floral designs. The handmade arch is fully covered with Kirthi Mukh and Chanku Nama Chakra, showcasing fine colored finishing.

This auspicious sculpture is ideal for placement in homes, offices, or pooja rooms. It is believed to bring boundless wealth and prosperity to its surroundings.
