Lord Muruga is a revered deity in Hindu tradition, the son of Lord Mahadev and Goddess Parvati. He is also known by several names, including Shanmuga, Kanda, Karthikeya, Kumaraswamy, and Arumuga. Symbolizing power and strength, Lord Muruga rides a peacock named Paravani. He wields an Ayutha Vel, a divine spear, with which he vanquishes numerous demons. In his Abhaya Mudra, Lord Muruga blesses devotees with protection and safety, while his other two hands hold a Thirisul Ayutha.

The mandap features a pillar design that is intricately carved, providing a natural and realistic temple appearance. At either end, two standing parrots are beautifully carved into the kavadi. Flanking Lord Murugan are two sevagar ladies, each holding a lotus flower in their hands.
